Our lives are so so short compared to eternity. Many of us are concerned about our money, our health, politics, discrimination, events in the news, etc... but what really matters? What really matters is where you will be forever after you die? The Bible says, "it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgement" (Heb. 9:27). Will you go to heaven or hell after your last breath? Do you think you're good enough to go to heaven? Here's a quick test to find out. Have you ever told a lie? If you have, that makes you a liar. Have you ever stolen anything? If you have, that makes you a thief. Have you ever misused the Lord's name in vain? If you have, the Lord says He will not leave you unpunished. Have you ever lusted? If you have, then Jesus says you've committed adultery in your heart. The Bible says that all liars and the sexually immoral will have their part in the lake which burns with fire (Rev. 21:8); and that neither thieves nor adulterers will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9-10). God loves you and doesn't want you to go to hell. Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man, suffered and died on the cross for your sins. Then, he was buried and three days later He rose from the dead. The Bible says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:8). So... admit your a sinner, believe Jesus is God, and trust in Jesus alone and His finished work on the cross for your salvation. Then, call on His name! The Bible says, "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom. 10:9) and "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED" (Rom. 10:13).
