Text on back of WHEN THE MASKS COME OFF gospel tract:
Mask wearing is one of the many traditions or rituals of the Mardi Gras
event. Sometimes masks are used in various celebration themes, but
oftentimes, masks are worn by many people to hide behind as they
engage in immoral and deviant behavior. However, the "reality beyond
the ritual" is that there will be no hiding or masking of anyone's sins on
Judgment Day! The Bible reveals that "Nothing in all creation is hidden
from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the
eyes of Him to whom we must give an account" (Hebrews 4:13). God
is absolutely holy and a righteous judge who must punish sin. "Your
eyes are too pure to look on evil, and you cannot tolerate wrongdoing"
(Habakkuk 1:13). No matter how safe you think you are from God's
judgment, as a lost sinner you can "Be sure your sin will find you out"
(Numbers 32:23). The sobering reality is that "It is appointed for men
to die once, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27), and that the
sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their
part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8);
and that neither fornicators, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor revilers
will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). God loves you
and doesn't want you to go to hell. Jesus Christ, who is fully God and
fully man, died on the cross for your sins. Then, he was buried and
three days later He rose from the dead. So... what must you do to
escape God's wrath? Repent and trust in Jesus Christ alone as your
Lord and Savior. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have
eternal life" (John 3:16).
